I bought my first camera on a whim during a post-holiday sale, not realizing it would completely change the trajectory of my life. I started photographing friends and family, slowly learning how to see light and frame a story. It was messy, unpolished, and filled with trial and error—but I was hooked. That camera came with me everywhere—from local parks to destination vacations—and I began to see the world through a completely different lens. I didn’t have a business plan or a roadmap, but I had passion, curiosity, and a quiet knowing that this was just the beginning.

After three years of saying yes to anything and everything—family sessions, second shooting, editing into the early hours—I booked my very first full-service wedding client. It was the first time I truly felt the weight and honor of documenting a couple’s story from start to finish. That experience opened my eyes to what was possible. I started refining my style, investing in better gear, and slowly raising my prices. It wasn’t just a side hustle anymore—it was becoming a career. I began to see that with intention, this passion could become something lasting, meaningful, and fully my own.

After years of refining my craft and gaining experience, I officially went full-time with my photography business. It was equal parts thrilling and terrifying—I had no backup plan, just a deep belief in the work I was meant to do. I rebranded, launched a new website, and committed to only taking on clients that aligned with my vision. That season taught me how to lead with clarity, serve with heart, and build something sustainable. I finally felt like I had found my rhythm, and for the first time, my work and my life felt beautifully aligned and fully mine.
February, 2019
This was the year everything expanded. I began photographing destination weddings more regularly, traveling to Europe for the first time with clients who trusted me deeply. The shift from local to international work challenged and inspired me in new ways. I also started receiving messages from fellow photographers asking how I had built a business with such intention and clarity. That’s when the seed was planted—I realized I loved teaching just as much as creating. I began mapping out my first retreat, with the goal of creating space for growth, artistry, and genuine community within the creative industry.
September, 2022
international retreat—and it was everything I had envisioned and more. We gathered in a sun-drenched villa, surrounded by artists ready to grow, connect, and create from a deeper place. That experience solidified my passion for education and community. I realized that guiding other photographers through mindset shifts, business strategy, and creative breakthroughs was just as fulfilling as documenting love stories. Today, retreats have become a cornerstone of my business—and one of the most meaningful ways I support others in building aligned, elevated, and lasting creative careers.
